Worship

We are leaning that our whole lives are offered in Worship to the Lord. Music and Worship go hand in hand to form an integral part in the life of Gold Coast Christian Family at our Sunday meetings. This is when we gather together to bring our worship, praise and adoration to the Lord Jesus Christ as a group, and we sing, and pray, and learn from His word.We give of ourselves in appreciation of all that God so faithfully and abundantly gives to us. I.e. we worship and adore the Creator of the universe, acknowledging Him as our Father, and Saviour, Redeemer and Friend. The Church family are assisted in this by a fabulous team of musicians and singers, all gifted by God to assist us in entering into His presence. Added to this group is a support team who all play a part in bringing the "structure" to our celebration times.Sound technicians and multi media operators all contribute immensely in the presentation of the gospel message in music and by visual presentation.

Planning is in place to develop further the creative arts areas, adding regular drama's and specials as needed in order to enhance the worship experience.

Music

The music groups are a team of servants, committed to leading God's people in worship, as together they offer back to Him, the gifts given by Him.The Bible makes many references to the role of the musicians and singers, particularly in the Old Testament. They where often the ones who would lead the army into battle, they where used by Almighty God to prepare the way for the soldiers to march into victory. In today's contemporary Church, the musicians role is to assist the fellowship to focus on the attributes of God himself. Songs of love and adoration are sung, songs of testimony to God's faithfulness, and songs with a spiritual warfare theme, all form part of the 20th century song selection, used in Churches such as ours.

The music selection at Gold Coast Christian Family is the responsibility of our Pastor of Music and Worship Alan Cann. He collaborates with the Pastoral staff and Senior Pastor. Alan's wide experience as a musician, is called on each weekend as we present fresh and dynamic worship services.

The psalmist exhorts us to "play on the harps, the stringed instruments, the tambourine, and drum…… make a joyful noise unto the Lord….. sound the trumpet, and sing songs of exaltation".

Music forms an integral part of our meetings together. We believe music is a beautiful gift from the Lord, along with all the God given gifts, we are committed to present to God our talent, offering it to Him, for His delight and His glory.
