Mission Statement

LoveWorx is a ministry of Gold Coast Christian Family that seeks to reach those outside the church with the practical love of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Purpose Statement

The purpose of LoveWorx is to give those in the body of Christ the opportunity to reach out and touch the lives of those outside the church with the practical love of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Vision Statement (How this will be accomplished)

Remembering that we are not trying to convert people, rather, give them a positive experience of the church. LoveWorx seeks to create a culture of service and giving. We hope to do this by:

1. Giving participants an organized opportunity so that their light might be seen among men that the Lord may be glorified.
2. Providing help to those who are in need in the community.

This may come through the following forms:

• A Free coke and sausage at a local park or service station.
• Free Car Washes (restrictions permitting)
• Help with household duties: mowing lawns, rubbish removal, ironing, washing etc.
• Financial help (if appropriate)
• Giving away bread or groceries to those in need.
• Free or cheap oil changes for those single mums with a health care card.
• Anything that blesses others, there is no limit on what might be accomplished.

These ministries will only be limited by a lack of resources both financially and humanly speaking.

	Dennis Verner is our Pastor for Evangelism and outreach. Dennis is responsible for working with participants on our Community Jobs Program called Gold Coast Youth Skills, which helps long term unemployed and disabled young people attain work skills and gain confidence. He and wife Veronica are expecting their first child in late July 2005. Dennis and Veronica have a passion to reach the unchurched through LOVEWORX and Christianity Explained . Though Queenslanders through and through, their support of St. George Illawarra, provides opportunity for one eyed BRONCO fans in the Pastoral Team to give a bit of flak.

	LOVEWORX is held on the first Saturday of every month, where we run a Free Car Wash, Sausage Sizzle and Coke giveaway. More helpers are welcomed. We meet at the church at 9:15am for a 9:30 start, and finish at 11:30am.
